“Por eso en Quintana Roo nos hemos puesto como meta incentivar la inversión en tecnología, ampliar la conectividad a zona rurales, aumentar la cobertura de internet móvil y de banda ancha mediante el despliegue de infraestructura de telecomunicaciones” explicó la titular del Ejecutivo.

“Por eso firmamos este acuerdo solidario, que forma parte también de nuestro Nuevo Acuerdo por el Bienestar y Desarrollo de Quintana Roo, en el que las niñas, niños y adolescentes son prioridad y están en el centro de las acciones”. Explicó la Gobernadora de Quintana Roo. Asimismo, dejó en claro que los compromisos asumidos con la firma del acuerdo, a través de la Secretaría de Gobierno, el Sistema DIF Quintana Roo, la Secretaría Estatal de Educación y la Secretaría Estatal de Turismo, se cumplirán a cabalidad, con diligencia y profesionalismo.
Entre las acciones que se han realizado en Quintana Roo para combatir este flagelo está el colaborar e intercambiar información con ECPAT México para prevenir la explotación sexual en redes sociales, promover la coordinación entre el gobierno, ECPAT y los municipios, intercambiar información con los sistemas de protección municipales para implementar programas locales alineados con la Estrategia para la Prevención de la Explotación Sexual Comercial de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes (ESCNNA).
Realizar campaña de difusión sobre prevención y promoción de denuncia de delitos, promover la protección de niñas, niños y adolescentes en el sector hotelero, impulsar y acompañar la certificación de prestadores de servicios turísticos y actores clave en códigos y estándares afines al combate de prácticas y delitos de explotación sexual.
Al respecto, el secretario estatal de Turismo, Bernardo Cueto Riestra, indicó que la mejor manera de celebrar el Día Mundial del Turismo es con esta actividad trascendental, en el que se unen fuerzas en contra de la explotación infantil.
Precisó que por instrucciones de la gobernadora Mara Lezama, en Quintana Roo se busca un turismo ético. Con el Acuerdo firmado se certificarán establecimientos turísticos, promoviendo códigos, incorporando medidas preventivas mediante la educación turística, fomentar la colaboración y buenas prácticas entre los prestadores de servicios.
El titular de SEDETUR mencionó que hay logros para frenar la explotación sexual infantil en el turismo, como la capacitación a más de 2 mil 500 colaboradores en la sensibilización sobre el tema, se han concretado 22 códigos de conducta nacional en el último año, pero no se quiere que quede ahí, por lo que se aplicarán diversos protocolos de prevención y actuación ante cualquier sospecha de vulneración de los derechos infantiles y adolescentes.
“Hoy, con la firma de este Acuerdo, nos sumergimos en una lucha que trasciende las palabras, que trasciende todas las fronteras, y que, como luchadora social, me tocó atender y denunciar”. Precisó la gobernadora Mara Lezama.
Norma Negrete Aguayo, coordinadora nacional de la red ECPAT, celebró la participación del gobierno para conformar un entorno protector alrededor de las niñas, niños y adolescentes del Estado como de los visitantes.“Es sumar esfuerzos entre los sectores para consolidar y avanzar con pasos firmes y certeros para hacer y lograr un verdadero entorno de protección para las niñas, niños y adolescentes y disfruten de una niñez plena”, añadió.
En la firma participaron la Presidenta Honoraria del DIF Quintana Roo, Verónica Lezama Espinosa; la directora general del DIF, Abril Sabido Alcérreca; la secretaria de Gobierno, Cristina Torres Gómez; el secretario de Educación, Carlos Gorocica y el secretario de Turismo, Bernardo Cueto.
