Con una inversión de 8 millones 626 mil pesos el gobernador Carlos Joaquín entregó rehabilitado el campo de béisbol “Javier Rojo Gómez” de la isla.

Los trabajos se llevaron a cabo a través de la Secretaría de Obras Públicas (SEOP) mediante el programa de mejoramiento de infraestructura en zonas urbanas, el cual inició a operar a partir de esta administración.

En un ambiente de camaradería y acompañado por la presidenta municipal de Cozumel, Juanita Alonso Marrufo, el mandatario quintanarroense destacó la importancia de seguir practicando el denominado “rey de los deportes” como una actividad característica de la isla.

“Es importante tener este campo, seguir jugando béisbol y darle uso a estos espacios en los que hemos invertido más de 8.6 millones de pesos para que quede en estas condiciones”, destacó Carlos Joaquín.

Con la rehabilitación del campo de béisbol “Javier Rojo Gómez” en Cozumel se busca ampliar las oportunidades de desarrollo y calidad de vida de los habitantes; así como imagen turística.

Por su parte la presidenta municipal de Cozumel Juanita Alonso Marrufo destacó la importancia de esta obra que permite a las familias cozumeleñas continuar disfrutando del “rey de los deportes”, así como gestión del Gobernador Carlos Joaquín para concluir los trabajos de rehabilitación.

El gobernador Carlos Joaquín destacó que Quintana Roo vive un momento de desarrollo y crecimiento de la economía que detonará el empleo durante los próximos 20, 22 y 24 meses.

En el marco de un encuentro con el titular de la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE) Marcelo Ebrard con el gobernador, Carlos Joaquín y empresarios de Quintana Roo, el canciller destacó que debido al éxito turístico de Quintana Roo, se invitará a diversos empresarios a participar en la primera gira de promoción turística por las principales ciudades de Estados Unidos.

Indicó que ésta sería en el mes de octubre y se visitarían ciudades como Estados Unidos, Los Ángeles, Chicago, Nueva York, Houston y otras ciudades de Estados Unidos.

Con lo anterior -dijo- se acelerará la inversión y el flujo turístico.

Mencionó obras como el puente de la Laguna Nichupté que también empieza este fin de semana, así como la ampliación de la avenida Chac Mool de la Huayacán hasta el boulevard Colosio, los trabajos en Tulum del Parque del Jaguar, así como los tramos 4, 5, 6 y 7 del Tren Maya que en breve iniciarán.
